Deacon Daniel Dozier, OFS
Deacon Daniel Dozier, OFS offers spiritual direction under the Pastoral Solutions Institute, and is currently the Executive Director of the San Damiano Institute in Catholic Servant Leadership.
The son of a deacon, a husband, father and grandfather, Deacon Daniel also serves as Associate Professor of Sacred Scripture at the St. Cyril and Methodius Byzantine Catholic Seminary in Pittsburgh, PA and as an Academic Associate in Catholic Leadership at Franciscan University of Steubenville. Ordained in 2008, he is a Catholic deacon in the Byzantine Christian tradition, and has over 20 years of experience in leadership, pastoral, catechetical, vocational and spiritual coaching and direction in corporate, university and church settings. A member of the Ordo Franciscanus Saecularis (Third Order Franciscan) he has also served as a Minister of Formation and Retreat Master for clergy and laity, and speaks nationally at retreats, conferences and congresses in the area of Byzantine iconography, catechetics, Scripture and diaconal ministry.
He is the author of the The Twelve Great Feasts of the Messiah and Mother of God from Eastern Christian Publications and The Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius: Classics Made Simple (TAN Publishing), and has written for Eastern Churches Journal and is a regular columnist for Our Sunday Visitor’s Deacon Digest. He has also been appointed to the Eastern Catholic Eparchial Directors of Religious Education under the auspices of the Eastern Catholic Associates and the USCCB.
He has a BA in Theology from Franciscan University, an MA in Leadership from Bethel University and an MATS in Biblical Exposition from the University of Northwestern-St Paul.
